Jeep Wrangler : Into the wild

"Go anywhere, do anything," this is the motto of Jeep, born for adventure with its free-spirited nature, designed to travel safely on all types of terrain in any season.
Those who choose Jeep want to identify with something unique, hard to replicate in the automotive world, as Jeep was the first back in 1942.
This summer, we at "Snob," together with Radio Wise, wanted to experience these sensations, traveling from north to south across Sardinia—an island with many facets, offering a thousand different landscapes, the unique scents of myrtle, and enchanting colors that only this place can offer.
We did it aboard the quintessential Jeep—the iconic Wrangler, in the 4xe version with 380 horsepower and a 2-liter thermal engine from Stellantis, paired with a "power unit" that allows for purely electric driving for about 70 km, respecting nature and the surrounding environment, especially on "off-road" routes.
Traveling in the Wrangler, we discovered pristine places, deserted beaches that are hard to reach except in a true off-road vehicle, which allowed us to overcome even the toughest obstacles, like sand, gravel paths, and rugged mule tracks on Mount Gennargentu.
Few vehicles have the rugged, wild, and adventurous charm of the Wrangler, which for decades has accompanied generations of off-road enthusiasts and lovers of the most extreme trails. Today, they can do it in complete silence, only hearing the sounds nature has to offer, thanks to the fully electric mode.
For many years, Jeep has embraced the electrification of its entire range, because the American brand has always paid close attention to environmental sustainability and the preservation of our cities. Today, from the smallest Avenger, through Renegade and Compass, to Wrangler and Grand Cherokee, the entire range benefits from new electrified engines, in line with new regulations.

Driving for several kilometers along the Sardinian roads, we realized that there exists a community of "Wranglers"—true admirers of what this vehicle represents. Often, when we met them, we stopped to chat and share our driving impressions, discussing how special and unique this car is, and how much love its owners have for their "creature." Listening to them made us understand that we're not just talking about a car, but rather about a true lifestyle, a different way of thinking about the car—completely out of the ordinary, but then again, no Jeep is ordinary.
Being able to go anywhere you want in a safe, robust, and unstoppable vehicle gave us that sense of security that we've rarely found in other cars. With the Wrangler, nothing is impossible, and knowing that you can reach any destination made us feel almost invincible.
In the new MY 25 version, the standout feature is the new front and rear five-link suspension system, resting on a sturdy body-on-frame chassis. This, combined with the rigid axles and available electronic locking differentials, makes the Wrangler MY25 a benchmark for off-road enthusiasts. The standard side curtain airbags for both the first and second rows are a new addition. The new Uconnect 5 infotainment system, with a 12.3-inch touchscreen, offers wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, ensuring a next-generation digital experience, paired with the Alpine HI-Fi system.

Regarding safety and driver assistance, the Wrangler features blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-path detection, and adaptive cruise control, making it even safer and more modern.
The Wrangler has adapted to the times, evolving and improving year after year, without ever losing its true DNA: being a Jeep, synonymous with adventure and a love for nature.
During some stops along the beaches of this wonder called Sardinia, we showcased her—our Jeep—as the undisputed star of the evenings. What struck us most was seeing how everyone, from the youngest to the older generations, from men to women, recognized and identified it as a Jeep, or rather, "THE JEEP." American, yes, but universal in the eyes of all. After all, when it was created, it was aptly named the "Universal Jeep." Even today, many people refer to this type of vehicle, even from other brands, simply as a Jeep, to identify a particular body style and model.
The Wrangler has kept its personality intact, it hasn't followed trends, but rather, it has created them. It hasn't conformed to new stylistic trends but has remained faithful to its way of being, its DNA. Because if you're truly iconic, you can afford not to follow anyone; others will want to become like you.
